Ayurvedic Massage

Abhyanga

This is considered the classic Ayurvedic massage and is a relaxing and rejuvenating therapy performed with warm oil according to your body type. The strokes are gentle and rhythmic  and are repeated to deeply relax both body and mind. It works on the marmas, vital energy centres in the body, which are stimulated in order to: enhance Skin tone; improve circulation and balance the internal organs; improve the lymph flow; stimulate the immune system; detoxify, strengthen and revitalize the whole body-mind-spirit system.
It is very good for removing tension, reducing stress, and calming the nervous system especially for stressed out Vata types. It is ideal with symptoms such as: stress, insomnia,
poor energy levels or low immunity, and chronic pain or musculo-skeletal problems.

Ayurbalance (Deep Tissue Full Body Massage)
This is a deep tissue form of abhyanga, which has a special impact on the muscolo-skeletal system. The strokes are slower, deeper and firmer - hands, thumb, fingers, Knuckles, fist, forearm and elbow are all at work here. This massage is aimed to relieve muscular and joint pain, to release deeper accumulated tensions and to balance the whole body-mind-spirit system. It is more suitable for Pitta and Kapha body types.

"I often 'zone' out in massage but because Marinella had reminded me to just come back to the breath, I did that and felt (almost) every stroke - except for one or two when I was off in my mind somewhere! I felt so cared for in a really gentle and positive way during and after the massage. And the tears I shed the next morning, which felt so healing, felt able to be released because of the power of the massage Marinella had given me and the knowledge she had shared with me afterwards. I really like that she told me that you can feel quite internal after a massage, because I did experience that too, and her words allowed me to feel that and to be OK and comfortable with taking my own space. What a great energy exchange it was!"  Anna

AyurBalance

Ayurvedic Deep Tissue Massage

A deep tissue form of abhyanga, AyurBalance has a special impact on the muscolo-skeletal system.

"Ayurbalance is a wonderful full body massage, that starts with softer strokes using fingers and hands, and builds up to deeper and firmer contact using knuckles and elbows. I find it very relaxing and very helpful with my flexibility and suppleness.  Ayurbalance is for me 90 minutes of bliss which I now have as often as I can." M.
