In many different cultures around the world the placenta is honoured through specific burial ceremonies and rituals. These are ways to celebrate the powerful bond between the mother, the baby/babies and the Earth, marking the safe arrival of the baby/babies from womb to earth. Instead of discarding it as clinical waste, or consuming it as supplement after birth (if you decide to eat/incapsulate you can still leave a bit to bury), you can freeze your placenta for when you feel ready to honour it. When the time comes, I can guide you through the whole process (from practical to spiritual) and can share more stories about the magic that this incredible organ holds. It is part of your body, you create one with every baby you create and in it lives the very essence of your baby and its medicine. This ritual is a co-created experience that can be also done with your circle of women as witness. If you choose the circle option, the price will be £175. Option to make a placenta print before burying it. Please note that there will be extra fee to cover travel costs for any journey that is over 10 miles round trip from my home in Bristol. Please give me at least 48h notice if you need to cancel/reschedule.
